Planning your Minecraft server
Start with the project. A small Vanilla group and a large modpack world have different requirements.

Describe your group
Record edition, game version and expected concurrent players. Decide whether you want Vanilla, plugins or a specific modpack. Give the exact modpack name so requirements can be checked.
Compare relevant hosting features
RAM demand depends on mods, world size and settings, not just player count. Check the modpack requirements, CPU, server location, backups and upgrade options. A fixed RAM figure is not a performance guarantee.
Plan access and ownership
Decide who changes settings, who makes backups and how you export files if you change provider. After setup, test access together. CritLoot’s helper prepares your requirements; it does not book a service or promise capacity.
