Gaming credit or a subscription?
Credit sets a spending budget; a subscription provides specific benefits for a period of time.
Choose the right store
Start with the recipient’s platform. PlayStation Store credit can be used for digital games, add-ons and subscriptions. Do not assume it also works for hardware or another store.
Read subscription terms
Compare duration, devices, included benefits and the terms after the introductory period. Check whether an offer is only for new members and whether it renews automatically. A starting price does not describe the full future cost.
Coordinate gifts
Confirm platform and account region without requesting login details. Steam digital gift cards are sent through a Steam account. A redeemable code and a store-sent gift are different delivery methods; check which one is offered.
